La Perla 29 was founded in 1999 seeking to develop a new creative space, not only stimulating in an artistic way but also a place to make a better use of the resources from each production. A place for creation that works as a platform and a gatherer for a wide range of projects, under the artistic direction of Oriol Broggi.
La Perla 29 is an artistic and management structure committed to show productions that differs from the rest because of its ability to keep a constant dialog between production and creation.
In this early years, La Perla 29 has been building a solid working team in a cultural environment strongly linked with La Biblioteca de Catalunya that has conceived a new meeting point within the theater sector in Catalonia. Artistically, we have been lucky to do what we always wished and, together with a growing and faithful audience, we head to the research for a stable theatrical creation and exhibition space. Welcome.
